Franco Sarto is the man who is the driving passion and inspiration behind the name of this footwear brand. Born in 1949 in Dolo, a small town outside of Venice, Italy, Sarto's passion struck early. By the age of 14, Sarto was working in a shoe factory where his job was to sit on a stool and hand-last shoes with a hammer and nails.
Before long, Sarto knew that shoes would be his life, so - in his early twenties - he packed up and moved to Stra, the center of Italian shoe design. He partnered with another designer and opened a studio where they made prototypes for visiting wholesalers and retailers from around the world. His success is based upon his early beginnings - that of a shoe cobbler who understands the art and comfort of a great shoe.
While the technician in him continually pushes to make shoes as comfortable as possible, the other side of Franco Sarto lives for fashion. He understands a woman's undying passion for shoes and is dedicated to keeping that passion alive by crafting beautiful shoes that bring joy to women around the world. To this day, Sarto hand sketches many of his designs and is well known for his drawings during public appearances.
Women the world over can expect sandals, dress shoes, casual shoes and tailored shoes for any occasion and for any mood. Franco Sarto shoes set the standard for European fashion design, styles that are known the world over. Franco Sarto shoes perfectly combine the world of cutting edge fashion and reliable all-day comfort. These shoes are born of the belief that beautiful footwear need not compromise ordinary wearability.

When I first saw these pumps, I fell in love with the shape of the heel. The wedge is high enough to be sweet and very stable. They also are long-wearing and comfortable. I wouldn't own more than one pair, as they are very distinctive, but they are my favorites for a casual dinner or church.

These heels are my favorites, and I have every color possible - they are 'unsexy' enough for the office, but sexy enough for a date. Can wear these T-straps all day long, as they are supportive, comfortable and the heel is low enough to avoid back pain. The black pmps are my favorites, as they go with more outfits.

I bought these sandals beccause they were so cute and becuase they looked good with my jeans. But, they hurt my toes after wearing them a long time. There's very little between the toes and the ground with these heels. And, the heels hurt, too.

The "Nap" shoes were made for my foot! I love the style--classic--and the comfortable fit. I have only one complaint--I cannot find a size 8.5 in black patent!!
