New Balance began as a Boston-based arch support company in the early 1900's, and then developed into a specialized shoe manufacturer in the 1970's. Over the past three decades, New Balance has grown to become a leading global athletic products company. Today New Balance is a family of brands including New Balance, Dunham, PF Flyers, Aravon, Warrior and Brine.
Since the days of selling arch supports to police officers and waiters, New Balance has been a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday athlete. Part of producing superior footwear and athletic apparel is manufacturing it to fit all widths and sizes, because a better fit produces better performance.
To ensure the best fitting, best performing shoes and apparel, New Balance focuses on improving their technology and production methods. A big part of that is maintaining five manufacturing facilities in the United States, where they continue to produce shoes and apparel that meet the standards they've set more than a century ago. In fact, New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. is committed to giving back to the communities in which they do business. Through the New Balance Foundation, Corporate Contributions Program, Charitable Product Donation Program, and the "Community Connection" corporate volunteer program, New Balance helps to build sustainable communities in which they live, work, and do business.
New Balance also remains committed to a core set of values that include integrity, teamwork and total customer satisfaction. Their running, fitness, outdoor, sports, lifestyle and kids' shoes reflects their mission, which is "To be Recognized as the World's Leading Manufacturer of High Performance Footwear and Apparel."

Review:
I own a pair of these shoes and have been wearing them for over a year. The thing I really like about New Balance is they offer shoes that are Made in the USA. You'll need to check the tags before you buy but the last few pairs that I bought are made in the United States. This is extremely rare and I choose to support my country and have a perfectly good pair of MR710 shoes.
